The majority of students in Oxford County districts were white in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Maine Department of Education.

Of the 8,330 students attending schools in the county, 92.3% were white. Hispanic or Latino students were the second most represented ethnic group, making up 3% of the total enrollment.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Oxford County, representing 92.7% of the student body.

Regional School Unit 17/Maine School Administrative District 17 and Regional School Unit 10 had the most diverse student populations in Oxford County, which included white, multiracial, Hispanic or Latino, Black, Asian, and American Indian or Alaskan Native.

In the 2023-24 school year, public school enrollment in the county dropped by 0.9% when compared to the previous year.
