Premium gas was sold at the lowest price of $3.29 per gallon at one gas station in Franklin County during the week ending Mar. 7, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

The average reported price of premium gas across the county was $3.88 per gallon.

Of the 33 reported gas stations in cities within Franklin County, four offered premium gas.

Across Maine, the average reported price for a gallon of premium gas rose to $4.08, compared to the week before.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
