Democrat Savannah Sessions lost her bid to represent District 117 in the House to Republican incumbent Frances Head.
She communicated the news to her supporters via Facebook.
“Well, enough results are finally in to make a call. It’s not the news we wanted to share this morning. We lost: 45%-55%,” she posted.
Sessions, however, remained positive.
“I feel great that we ran a positive campaign and did everything we could. Dream big, fight hard (as Elizabeth Warren says). This seat will be open next time around, so hopefully the door to change will be open then,” read part of the post.
