Sheriff Nichols stopped by the Cascade Brook School this morning to visit Dustin Townsend who will be participating in Camp Postcard starting Saturday 18th - Thursday 23rd being held at Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop this year. Camp POSTCARD
(Police Officers Striving To Create And Reinforce Dreams)
is a free week long summer camp for Maine 5th and
6th graders — helping them build relationships, learn life skills, and
change their perceptions of law enforcement. Counselors are volunteer Police Officers from across Maine. Sheriffs, Troopers and Municipal Officers all come together to have fun and encourage the kids. The Maine Sheriff's Association has been sponsoring kids to attend camp for over 25years. Dustin is one of several kids from Franklin County who will be attending this year's session. Have fun Dustin!
