Meet Evan Busch, one of Downeast Institute's 2022 Summer Undergraduate Interns!
Evan is a rising senior at the University of Maine at Machias, studying Marine Biology. He enjoys working with animals and studying organismal ecology.
Evan is currently conducting an independent research project to determine if it is a sustainable practice to raise horseshoe crabs in culture for conservation, commercial, or biomedical uses. He will also be conducting a literature review and hopes to better understand the lifecycle of horseshoe crabs. He is most excited for the opportunity to perform his own research.
