The North Atlantic Conference announced the Player of the Week honorees for the third week of the season this afternoon and junior midfielder Audrey Fletcher (Monmouth, Maine) was named the Player of the Week while freshman goalkeeper Paige Gonya (Sabattus, Maine) was named the Defensive player of the Week.
Fletcher led the Beavers offensive attack over the weekend as she tallied a goal and two assists in leading the Beavers over UMaine-Presque Isle 3-1.
For Gonya, she made 9 saves on Wednesday on the road against USM and then followed that performance up with an even stronger one where she turned away 15 shots in the Beavers 3-1 win over the Owls on Saturday.
The awards for both Fletcher and Gonya are the first of their careers.
