The BA Wolverines had much of the early possession but Arnaud Nygasaza stood firm in the Mustangs goal. Midway through the first half Bridgton took the lead from a deep pass from the midfield for the forward to run on to before slotting the ball underneath Nyagasaza. The Mustangs were dangerous on the counter attack and drew level late in the first half. An illegal back pass resulted in an indirect free kick inside the BA box. Abdirahman Daud set the ball for Abdifatah Yussuf who hit a driven shot to the right of the BA keeper.
The second half began with the Wolverines once more in the ascendancy. The Mustangs found themselves down 3-1. Trailing by 2 goals CM began to create scoring opportunities. Mosses Lumu made a deep cross from the left that Sasha Bruno headed past the BA keeper to bring the score to 3-2. The 3rd goal followed shortly after, with 20 mins left in the game Isidoro Domingues created a turnover in the BA defense before taking a hard shot to the left of the diving Wolverines keeper.
At 3-3 the game became open with both teams creating offensive opportunities. Late in the game a corner for BA that failed to be cleared by CM resulting in a hand ball and penalty kick. BA converted the penalty kick and rounded out the rest of the game to earn the 4-3 win.
The Mustangs fall to 4-1-2 for the season. They face VT Tech in a conference match up in Auburn, this Saturday 10/8.
