Husson University women's tennis senior Hannah Malinen was named North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year on Tuesday, while head women's tennis coach Josh Warren earned NAC Coach of the Year honors and five women's tennis players earned all-conference accolades.
Malinen caps off an impressive senior campaign finishing undefeated in both singles and doubles play at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Eagles in conference play. Malinen finished her senior season 4-1 overall in singles and 4-2 in doubles play helping Husson finish 9-0 on the year and capture the 2022 NAC women's tennis championship. Additionally, Malinen earned All-NAC honors in singles and doubles, joining fellow senior and doubles partner Julia O'Leary who also earned All-NAC singles and double honors.
Senior Nicci Munroe received All-NAC doubles honors along with junior Molly Chicoine who earned All-NAC doubles and singles accolades as Munroe's doubles partner. Munroe and Chicoine finished 5-2 on the year in doubles, while Chicoine tallied a perfect 5-0 record in singles.
Additionally, junior Emily Doten earned All-NAC singles and sportsmanship team accolades finishing 6-1 on the year in singles play ranging from No. 1 to No. 3.
Lastly, Warren earned his fourth NAC Coach of the Year honor in the last five year, helping Husson finish 9-0 on the year and win it's fifth-straight conference championship.
