From July to September 2022 Patrol Supervisors agree that Deputy Tyler Gray’s overall work has been exceptional and that his work ethic is outstanding. During this time, he has taken great strides in his report writing, peer mentoring and personal motivation. He has spent a great deal of time in the rural northern territories not only as an LEO presence but as a pro-active community-oriented deputy.
He has made personal contact with several local citizens and business owners in attempts to further ties to the community and improve his interview/conversational abilities.
Gray has requested additional training opportunities. Namely, taking an EMT course to get certified and advanced investigation schools. Gray has further motivated his peers with friendly challenges in traffic enforcement and taking lead roles in investigations.
Throughout this past quarter patrol has worked a large portion of time with only two deputies with the help of administration. Gray has spent that time primarily working the weekends and has not expressed a single complaint for the increased workload but instead has expressed gratefulness at the opportunity and has agreed to get out of his comfort zone by taking rotations in the “south”.
For the reasons stated above and many more, we the supervisors of Franklin County Sheriff’s Office would like to name Deputy Tyler Gray for Deputy of the quarter.
