Longtime skiers know that Sugarloaf has pined for a way to move racers up the hill faster, and more often, for decades. Thoughtful planning and generosity paid off yesterday, when the new surface lift serving Competition Hill finally opened! Supporters of UMF’s snow sports programs were a significant part of realizing that dream.
UMF is incredibly proud to partner with Sugarloaf Mountain, CVA, Colby College and the Sugarloaf Ski Club. It’s clear that when we get our wheels turning, momentum is sure to follow. The new t-bar is a game-changer for alpine athletes at UMF, and beyond. We all thank you for your ongoing support!
The college coaches, including our own Andrew Willihan and Colby’s Eric Harlow, couldn’t be more thrilled—as you can see from their giddy selfie. Thanks, too, to @waylonwolfe and CVA for sharing your photos of this remarkable day.
