Senior guard Terion Moss (Portland, Maine) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week and senior center Jack Kane (Cumberland, Maine) was named the Defensive Player of the Week this afternoon by the conference.

The honor for Moss marks the second time this season he has been named the NAC Player of the Week. Kane has now received Defensive Player of the Week honors three times this season.

With the end of the semester and Christmas break taking place over the last 3 weeks, consideration for the awards stretched with games from December 12th thru January 1st. The Beavers went 1-1 over that stretch, claiming a win over Roger Williams University on Saturday, December 31st at the Naismith Classic. Their loss came the day before as their comeback came up short against Wesleyan University.

For the weekend, Moss averaged 26.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game, including a huge 34 point, seven rebound, six assist effort on 14-21 shooting from the field and 4-6 shooting from behind the arc against Roger Williams.

Kane had another great weekend of games for the Beavers. Against Wesleyan on Friday he put up 14 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Against Roger Williams on Saturday, Kane posted his second double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 boards. He also added for blocks against the Hawks. Also over the weekend, Kane tallied his 200th career block, further distancing himself as the school's all-time block leader.

Moss, Kane, and the Beavers will be back in action on Friday evening as they take on Northern Vermont-Johnson as they resume conference play.
