The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) released the conference's weekly awards for the week of March 13th-19th and the University of Maine at Farmington's Maddie Pike (Kennebunk, Maine) was named the conference's softball Rookie of the Week.
Pike was an offensive force last week for the Beavers at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Pike finished the week hitting .529 (917) with four doubles, seven RBIs, and one stolen base.
The Beavers played in six games last week and Pike reached base safely in five of those games with three multi-hit games.
Against Keene State last Wednesday, Pike went a perfect 3-3 at the plate with a double and two RBIs. The next day against Cairn, she went 2-4 with a double, four RBIs, and three runs scored. Pike delivered a massive bases-clearing double in the 6th inning to help the Beavers put away the Commanders.
Pike finished off her week riding a four-game hitting streak. Her and the Beavers will be back in action this week when they take on Lasell University.
