5.7% of Oxford County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Oxford County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,566 people out of the 57,807 living in Oxford County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Oxford County has decreased compared to the 6.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Oxford County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.2%.

Of the 26,140 people who had a job during that time, 13 were employed in the Armed Forces and 26,127 belonged to the civilian labor force.
