On Friday, March 6, UMaine Farmington Beavers, featuring a former Spruce Mountain High School standout, were defeated 108-44 by the NYU Violets in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The teams met for the first time in the tournament at John A. Paulson Center, with the game tipping off at 7:45 p.m.
