At Sugarloaf today, the University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's ski teams competed in the giant slalom race on day two of the Eastern Regional Championships with a chance to qualify for the National Championships at Mammoth, California in March. The men's team sat in 4th place after yesterday's slalom event and held onto 6th place after today to grab their spot in the National Championships.

On the women's side, after yesterday's slalom event, they sat in 9th place with some ground to make up as the top-six teams qualify for the National Championships. They were able to make up some ground, but were unable to make enough ground to get into the top six. They still qualified for the National Championships as a 4-way invite.
