The University of Maine at Farmington women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference contest on the road at the hand of the University of Southern Maine Huskies, 19-2. The Beavers dropped to 0-3 on the season while the Huskies record now sits at 2-5.

The Huskies scored the 14 goals of the game, taking a 14-0 lead into halftime. Six of the Huskies 14 goals came from Rachel Shanks. Cierra Hill also knotted a pair of goals in the 1st half while Maddie Kinney added three assists in the half. 

Freshman Emma Bourget (Gardiner, Maine) knotted a goal four minutes into the 2nd half to get the Beavers on the scoreboard. Bourget's goal was assisted by Kaya Backman (South Portland, Maine).

The Huskies answered with the next three goals, extending their lead to 17-1 headed into the 4th quarter.

Bourget struck again 1:54 into the 4th quarter with an unassisted marker for her 2nd goal of the game. Cece Racine tacked on a pair off goals in the quarter to finish of the scoring. The Huskies held a 37-8 advantage in shots on the game. Kate Nowell (York, Maine) made seven saves in net for the Beavers. 

Ashlee Farrar (South Paris, Maine), Lydia Eastman (Chelsea, Vermont), and Emma Brown (Naples, Maine) each recorded two ground balls. 

Shanks finished with six goals and an assist to pace the Huskies. Kinney added two goals and three assists, and Hill, Julia McKenna, and Racine all finished with two goals.
