The UMaine-Farmington Golf Team lost a dual match yesterday against North Atlantic Conference rival, Thomas College. The Terriers outshot the Beavers by a 462 to 425 margin in the match held at the Waterville Country Club.
The Beavers saw strong performances from sophomore Neil LaRochelle III (82) and junior Chris Frey (86). Both sophomore Ryan Sargent and junior Jack Burton shot 92s for the Beavers. Will Robert finished out the Beavers total with a 110.
For the Terriers they were paced by Dylan Cunningham who shot a match best 77 after a strong back nine in which he shot a two over 36. The other four Terrier golfers shot a 90 or lower to finish ahead of the Beavers.
The Beavers will return to action next Thursday, September 8th at the John Queenan Memorial tournament hosted by Saint Joseph's College at Point Sebago Golf Course in Casco, Maine.
