The UMaine-Farmington Men's Cross Country team took home first place out of the three teams who competed today at the UMaine-Augusta meet.
The Beavers had three runners finish in the top four as Justin Castaldo (Scarborough, Maine) finished second with a 18:13.9 time, Covy Dufort (Wells, Maine) took thirds with a time of 18:19.3, and Jimmy Reel (Nashua, NH) grabbed a fourth place finish after finishing in 18:38.4.
Beavers runners also took places seven through nine, giving them six top nine runners as Luke Bliss (Underhill, VT) ran a 19:09.9, Connor Freeman (Bath, Maine) a 19:22.2, and Sam True (Whitefield, Maine) finished in 19:24.6. Madison Brown took 16th place with a time of 22:28.5.
Thomas's Jarrod Hooper (Lyman, Maine) finished first on the course with a time of 17:41.0.
The Beavers grabbed first with 24 points while Thomas had 34, and YCCC registered 72 points.
