The UMaine-Farmington golf team carded a four-man score of 335 in route to finishing in first place at the SMCC Invitational at Purpoodock Country Club yesterday afternoon.
All four of the golfers who contributed to the Beavers score carded solid rounds. Ryan Sargent (Windham, Maine) carded a 79 to lead the Beavers. He was closely followed by Neil LaRochelle III (Lisbon Falls, Maine) who shot an 81. The 79 from Sargent was good for second at the tournament while LaRochelle III finished third.
Chris Frey (Auburn, Maine) and Jack Burton (Dayton, Maine) rounded out the scoring for the Beavers as they added an 88 and an 87 respectively. Will Robert (Fairfax Station, Virginia) was the fifth golfer for the Beavers who shot a 129.
