University of Maine at Farmington senior guard Terion Moss (Portland, Maine) was selected by D3hoops as a third team Preseason All-American for the upcoming 2022-23 basketball season.
Moss becomes the first basketball player in Farmington history to ever receive preseason All-American honors. Moss has put together an outstanding collegiate career at Farmington following his transfer from UMaine-Orono. Moss transferred to Farmington after his freshman season at Orono. Since arriving at Farmington, Moss has scored 1032 total points across two full seasons and one COVID-shortened season. Moss has averaged 21.5 points per game for his career at Farmington.
Moss is a two-time North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Year award winner, the first of which coming in his sophomore season before repeating as Player of the Year a season ago.
A season ago, Moss led a high-powered Beaver offense that averaged a conference high, 88.5 points per game. Moss himself averaged 27 points per game, dished out 4.9 assists per game, gathered 3.9 rebounds per game, and averaged 1.6 steals per game. Moss amassed 486 points in just 18 games played a season ago. Moss also shot a ridiculous 50% from the field, 41.9 percent from the three-point line, and 89.1% from the free throw line.
Last season Moss led the NAC in points per game average, had the sixth highest field goal percentage in the conference, and was second in three point field goal percentage and assists per game.
In the two full seasons that Moss has been at Farmington he has helped lead the Beavers to a 36-12 overall record. Moss is looking to help lead the Beavers to a NAC Championship for the first time since the 2009-2010 season.
The Beavers begin their season on November 16th at home against the University of New England. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM.
