The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced the men's basketball Players of the Week for the week of November 14th through November 20th. The University of Maine at Farmington's senior point guard Terion Moss (Portland, Maine) received the NAC Player of the Week while senior center Jack Kane (Cumberland, Maine) was named the NAC Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Beavers to a 2-1 start in their first week of the regular season.
The Beavers picked up wins over the University of New England and Emmanuel College with their lone loss of the week coming on the road at the hands of no. 8 ranked Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
In the win against UNE last Wednesday, Moss picked up his first double-double of the season, recording 17 points and ten rebounds. He also contributed four assists, two blocks, and a steal in the contest.
On Friday evening against WPI, Moss led the Beavers in scoring, picking up 15 points while also registering seven rebounds, four assists and five steals.
In a huge road victory on Saturday evening against Emmanuel, Moss picked up 36 points, including 29 in just the second half to lead the Beavers to the 90-83 win. He also chipped in nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Moss averaged 22.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals on the week.
Kane is a bold presence inside for the Beavers. In each of the wins for the Beavers, Kane rejected four shots. He also is a key force in the Beaver defense having allowed only 28 points in the paint in each of their two wins so far this season.
Against Emmanuel on Saturday, Kane picked up 18 points and eight rebounds to go with his four blocks.
