University of Maine at Farmington Men’s Alpine Takes 2nd in Slalom at Pats Peak

The University of Maine at Farmington men's alpine team grabbed 2nd place today at a Reynolds Division slalom event hosted by New England College at Pat Peak. The Beavers tallied 16 place points and posted a 4:02.68 three-racer time in their 2nd place effort.

Simon Spear (Boothbay, Maine) once again led the Beavers on the hill today. Spear finished with a pair of strong runs to finish 2nd overall with a cumulative time of 1:31.82. Spear finished in 1st run in 45.97 seconds before dropping slightly to 45.85 seconds in his 2nd run.

Lake Lindelof (Belfast, Maine) placed 5th overall today with a two-run time of 1:34.64. Lindelof was solid and consistent in his pair of runs. He finished his 1st run in 47.23 seconds and followed that up with a 47.41 second 2nd run.

Gavin Crowley (Southington, Conn.) was the 3rd Beaver racer to contribute to their teams cumulative time. Crowley finished his 1st run in 49.42 seconds. He then cut off over two and a half seconds off his time to finish his 2nd run in 46.80 seconds. Crowley's two-run time was 1:36.22.

Lance Dolan (Coplin Plantation, Maine) finished in 9th place overall, 0.89 seconds behind Crowley. Dolan was able to cut over a second and a half off from his time in his 2nd run to finish with a cumulative time of 1:37.01.

Christian Beliveau (Auburn, Maine) finished just 0.51 out of the top-10 with a cumulative time of 1:37.64.
